After an amazing experience with VORTEX2 in 2010...2011 was surely not going to live up to last year.  Due to extensive commitments I was unable to take a formal storm chasing vacation as I have in previous years.  The storm chasing pictures I was able to capture were from local chases across southeast Michigan. June 22, 2011 - After a line of storms track through southeast Michigan...showers that developed behind the line produced some interesting cloud features.

August 13, 2011 - A line of thunderstorms produce a neat looking shelf cloud and a bright orange sky and rainbow after the storms pass to the east.

August 24, 2011 - A cold front brings a line of severe thunderstorms through southeast Michigan.
